Week 7 football preview

Stigler seeks a much-needed win after its worst loss in the past nine years. Porum also looks to bounce back as it hosts homecoming. The ceremony will be at 5:45 p.m. Here's a look at the Week 7 slate.

Stigler (6-1, 1-1 in District 3A-8) vs. Eufaula (4-3, 1-1 in District 3A-8) 7 p.m.

Last meeting: Stigler 38, Eufaula 34 (Oct. 20, 2016)

Points scored-allowed: Stigler 263-168, Eufaula 208-137.

Notes: Both teams have relied on the running attack. Stigler's Garret Brooks has 1,549 rushing yards this season, averaging 9.5 yards per carry. Stigler's 62-10 loss at Idabel on Oct. 6 was its first game with fewer than 20 points since Nov. 6, 2015. The Panthers are 10th in Class 3A with 37.6 points per game. Eufaula has scored more than 40 points three times and 15 or fewer in three games this season.

Porum (2-3, 0-1 in District B-8) vs. Gans (1-5, 0-1 in District B-8) 7 p.m.

Last meeting: Gans 46, Porum 24 (Oct. 13, 2016)

Points scored-allowed: Porum 118-198, Gans 76-218.

Notes: Porum has scored more than 30 points twice, and Gans has done it once this season.

Quinton (0-6, 0-3 in District A-8) vs. Warner (1-5, 1-1 in District A-8) 7 p.m.

Last meeting: Warner 14, Quinton 8 (Oct. 14, 2016)

Points scored-allowed: Quinton 57-220, Warner 98-277

Keota (3-3, 1-0 in District B-8) at Arkoma (4-2, 1-0 in District B-8)

Last meeting: Keota 64, Arkoma 14 (Oct. 13, 2016)

Points scored-allowed: Keota 180-144, Arkoma 242-158.

Notes: Keota's Keelyn Parker had a breakout performance against Porum on Oct. 6 with multiple touchdown runs of 50 yards or more. Arkoma's Kobe Ragsdale has 790 rushing yards this season.
