Stigler vs. Heavener postponed

Stigler's basketball games against Heavener have been postponed from Friday, Feb. 10, to Tuesday, Feb. 14. The matchup, which is senior night for Stigler, was rescheduled due to the high number of illnesses at Stigler Public Schools. Superintendent Monty Guthrie said the school system had more than 211 children absent due to illness before deciding on Wednesday afternoon to close schools for the rest of the week.

When discussing the illnesses, Guthrie said the school system is in "full disinfect mode."

The senior night ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
