Stigler at Talihina, hoops tourneys in Porum, Quinton

Tournament play continues in Porum with girls basketball action today before the boys semifinals go down on Friday. Meanwhile, Quinton's Farmers State Bank Hardwood Tournament starts today. Stigler's teams are on the road. Here's the full area hoops schedule for today.

Keota girls (1-2) vs. Caddo (5-0, ranked 17th in Class 2A) (FSB tourney in Quinton) 10 a.m.

Last game: Howe 75, Keota 31; Caddo 69, Achille 39.

Keota boys (1-2) vs. Silo (4-1) (FSB tourney) 11:30 a.m.

Last game: Howe 83, Keota 48; Silo 48, Kiowa 39.

Notes: Silo has won four straight games since losing its opener.

Kinta girls (3-4) vs. Canadian (2-1) (Porum Armstrong Bank tourney) 4:30 p.m.

Last game: Oaks-Mission 42, Kinta 23; Webbers Falls 47, Canadian 38.

Last meeting: Canadian 24, Kinta 13 (Dec. 2, 2016)

Notes: Kinta's leading scorer, Cianna Titsworth, returned after missing four weeks due to a partial ACL tear in the first-round game against Oaks-Mission on Dec. 6. She played a little more than half the game, scoring two points. Kinta coach Jim Jenson said it helps having her back, even while she takes time getting back to full strength. Kinta has lost four straight games without Titsworth's scoring punch.

Stigler girls (3-0) at Talihina (1-0) 6:30 p.m.

Notes: Stigler has won four games against the Tigers over the last two years.

McCurtain girls (2-6) vs. LeFlore (6-3, ranked 13th in Class B) (EOSC tourney) 7 p.m.

Quinton girls (1-1) vs. Wetumka (2-1) (FSB tourney) 7 p.m.

Last game: Hartshorne 42, Quinton 38; Wetumka 34, Maud 31.

Notes: After struggling to make shots against the Miners on Dec. 2, Quinton will try to refresh its offense against a Wetumka team that allowed 32 points per the first three games. Macey McKee had 41 points in the first two games. McKee and Wilson both have eight steals while the team has collected 34 thefts thus far.

Quinton boys (0-2) vs. Morris (0-3) (FSB tourney) 8:30 p.m.

Last game: Hartshorne 49, Quinton 46; Okay 96, Morris 52.

Notes: The Savages have a good chance to give Darren Harber his first win as a head coach. Tristan Etchison collected 28 points and nine rebounds in the first two games.

Porum girls (3-1) vs. Hulbert (1-3) (Porum Armstrong Bank Tournament) 8:30 p.m.

Last game: Porum 59, Cave Springs 20; Hulbert 46, Panama 39.

Notes: Hulbert's 46 points in the first round of the tourney was its highest to this point in the season. The Riders average 38.8 points per game while the Panthers allow 33.8 per game.
