Stigler’s academic team has started its year under new coach Katrina Gragg in tremendous form.
After winning all three games in its home meet on Thursday, Sept. 29, the Panthers hold a 12-2 record, having swept its last two meets.
The team was at Rogers State University in Claremore on Tuesday, Oct. 4, taping its first episode of “I Want Answers,” which airs on Nov. 6 on RSU TV.
Last season, Stigler reached the championship round, earning each of the varsity team members who appeared on the show $1,000 scholarships.
“If we could do that, it would be wonderful,” Gragg said of the possibility of returning to the championship of the show. Meanwhile, Stigler is preparing for the first round of the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA) playoffs.
Five days after its Oct. 6 conference meet at Eufaula, Stigler returns to the home of the Ironheads for the seeding district. The Panthers will play against Morris as well as Eufaula.
The district will determine where the teams are placed for  regionals, which will be Nov. 12.
