Stigler, Quinton start slow pitch, more area softball, baseball

Stigler and Quinton's softball teams open the slow pitch season today, with Stigler playing at home and Quinton heading into a three-way at McCurtain. The Panthers look to build on the success of last year, when they went 15-8 and peaked at No. 15 in the Class 5A rankings before losing to Muldrow in districts. Quinton went 5-18 last year and went 1-2 in districts. The first game of the three-way at McCurtain starts at 4:30 p.m. All of the other area softball games today begin at 4:30 p.m. The three area baseball games besides the 4:30 p.m. Stigler-Keys game will start at 5 p.m. following junior high games.
