The Stigler Panthers faced off against the Webster Warriors on Friday Nov. 2.

“We scored 53 points by half time, which isn’t something that normally happens. The team really went out and executed,” Coach Chris Risenhoover commented. “Nate Bryant played a great game, Jackson Winkle and Jaxon Calhoun also played a great game.”

Bryant, quarterback, had a total of 66 passing yards and 138 rushing yards in the first half of the game. Bryant scored three touchdowns, putting a total of 18 points on the board.

Calhoun, defensive back, scored two touchdowns, as did Ridge McClary, running back.

Coach Cade Sherwood commented, “We went out and played well. We went by our game plans. We knew we could handle them if we did that and the boys went out and got it done.”

The Panthers are ranked 8-2 overall and 5-2 in district. The Panthers will play their first round playoff game at Locust Grove on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.
