Stigler girls in regional consolation final, Kinta boys in area consolation final

Stigler's girls made a last-second defensive stand on Saturday to beat Dewey and hope to grind down Millwood in the Class 3A regional consolation final at Glenpool for a chance to reach the area round for the second straight year. Meanwhile, Kinta's boys are playing in the Class B area consolation final for the fourth straight year, seeking their third straight trip to the state tournament as they head to Stroud tonight. Here's a look at both matchups.

Stigler girls (8-17)  vs. Millwood (17-7) 1:30 p.m. in Glenpool

Points per game: Stigler: 39.2; Millwood: 52.

Points allowed per game: Stigler: 40.2; Millwood: 34.

Notes: Stigler's Sadie Quick had a season-high 13 points against Dewey while Mattie Self led the team with 19. Stigler scored 82 points in its first two regional games while Millwood totaled 59.

Kinta boys (23-6, ranked 12th in Class B) vs. Timberlake (25-2, ranked seventh in Class B) 8 p.m. in Stroud

Points per game: Kinta: 58; Timberlake: 67.6.

Points allowed per game: Kinta: 42.8; Timberlake: 44.9.

Notes: Kinta has four wins against ranked opponents while Timberlake has three.
