Stigler baseball at regionals, Stigler girls golf at state

Stigler has two girls golfers, Alyssa Pearson and Paige Risenhoover, playing the first round of the Class 3A state tournament today at Westwood Golf Course in Norman. The second round of the state tournament will be Thursday. Also, Stigler baseball starts regionals at Berryhill this afternoon after the opening day of the tournament was moved up. The Panthers look for a better run at regionals after losing both games at that stage last year. Below are the matchups.
Stigler (24-10) vs. Vinita (17-12) 1 p.m., winner vs. victor of Berryhill (25-11) vs. Inola (17-17) 3 p.m., Stigler-Vinita loser vs. Berryhill-Inola loser 5 p.m.
The regional is scheduled to continue Thursday, weather permitting.
