Porum girls play in Arkansas River Shootout final

Porum's basketball teams head back to Webbers Falls for the completion of the Arkansas River Shootout after the final round was delayed by a week due to inclement weather. The girls team has a chance to make a major statement in a tournament final matchup against a ranked Savanna team. The boys look to continue their winning streak in a consolation final game.

Porum girls (10-2, ranked 20th in Class A) vs. Savanna (9-3, ranked 16th in Class 2A) 7 p.m.

Last game: Porter 36, Porum 31; Savanna 53, Kiowa 31.

Notes: Porum's nine game winning streak was snapped by Porter on Friday, Jan. 13. Aubrie Ayers scored 13 points in the loss. The Panthers earned their first win against a ranked opponent in the first round of the tournament against LeFlore. Savanna has won three of its last four games.

Porum boys (7-5) vs. Watts (6-5) 2:30 p.m.

Last game: Porum 50, Porter 37.

Last meeting: Porum 85, Watts 56 (Jan. 8, 2016)

Notes: Porum beat Watts in the consolation semifinals of the Arkansas River Shootout last year. Mason Coulston scored 16 points and Zach Schuelen had 11 points in the Friday, Jan. 13, win against Porter.
