Porum Armstrong Bank tourney tips off, Keota hosts Warner

Porum's weeklong Armstrong Bank Tournament starts today with McCurtain's boys, as well as both Porum squads, playing the first round this evening. Also, Keota plays its first home game of the season. Here's a look at the area games for the day.

McCurtain boys (5-2) vs. Oaks-Mission (1-1) 5:50 p.m.

Notes: The Bulldogs enter the tournament having won four straight games, including three by double digits.

Porum girls (2-1) vs. Cave Springs (1-0) 7:10 p.m.

Last meeting: Porum 59, Cave Springs 20 (Dec. 6, 2016)

Notes: The Panthers have won two of the past three Armstrong Bank Tournament titles. However, unlike last year when they won games by vast margins, their first two victories have been by three and 10.

Porum boys (0-3) vs. Canadian (0-1) 8:30 p.m.

Last meeting: Porum 71, Canadian 68 (Jan. 26, 2017)

Notes: Porum split its two games with Canadian last year, dropping the third-place game to the Cougars in the Armstrong Bank Tournament and beating them on the road.

Keota vs. Warner

Girls: Lions (0-1) vs. Eagles (1-1) 6:30 p.m.

Last meeting: Warner 57, Keota 28 (Jan. 26, 2017)
