Panthers going for 20th win in home finale vs. Wolves

Stigler's basketball teams return to the hardwood to play Heavener after the game was postponed from Friday due to the large number of illnesses in Stigler Public Schools. The Stigler girls team looks to meet its goal of winning 20 games. Also, the senior night ceremony starts at 6 p.m.
 Here's a look at the matchups.

Girls: Panthers (19-3, ranked 11th in Class 3A) vs. Wolves (14-7, ranked 17th in Class 3A) 6:30 p.m.

Last game: Stigler 63, Wilburton 27; Poteau 39, Heavener 28.

Last meeting: Stigler 43, Heavener 36 (Jan. 13, 2017)

Notes: Stigler has won seven straight games. Heavener has lost four of its last six games. When the Panthers won at Heavener on Jan. 13, it was the first time this season the Wolves had been held to fewer than 40 points. Stigler is 4-3 against ranked teams. Heavener is 0-4 against ranked foes. The Panthers score 51.3 points per game and allow 35.5 per game. The Wolves average 47.5 points per game while allowing 45.1 per game.
