Locals, visitors enjoy Skate Jam

Local residents and visitors participated in the Sept. 16 Skate Jam at Cox Family Fun Park.
 Matt Mayo provided music for the event, and he was assisted by Miley Anderson. TSET Healthy Living Program provided healthy snacks and water.
“I was shocked when I heard our new Cox Family Fun Park is drawing skaters from Paris, Texas, Ft Smith, Fayetteville, Tulsa and Oklahoma towns from all around our state,” Mayo said. “I am enjoying the Skate Jams and am looking forward to the Spooky Slam Oct. 28. The skate community speaks highly about this particular skate park. It is a perfect place to practice for beginners or advanced and has great seats and tables if you want to watch the action. I also think this has been good for Stigler to draw people into town.”
