Lake Eufaula, Kerr Reservoir fishing report: chasing catfish

Below are the fishing reports for this week for Lake Eufaula and the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir. Both reports were submitted Friday.

Lake Eufaula

Elevation: Normal

Water clarity: Murky

Blue catfish: Action is excellent with cut bait, dough bait, live bait, live shad and worms below the dam.

White crappie and black crappie: Action is fair with jigs and minnows around docks, the main lake, the spillway and standing timber.

Largemouth bass and smallmouth bass: Action is good with jerk bait, plastics, spinnerbaits and worms around coves, riprap and standing timber.

Kerr Reservoir

Elevation: Normal

Water clarity: Murky

Largemouth bass and spotted bass: Action is good with Alabama rig, bill baits, crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits, plastics, spinnerbaits and tube jigs around brush structures, coves, points, riprap, shallows, shorelines and weed beds.

White crappie: Action is fair with hair jigs, jigs and minnows around brush structures, the main lake and standing timber.

Blue catfish, channel catfish and flathead catfish: Action is fair with chicken liver, cut bait, dough bait, live bait, live shad, punch bait and stinkbait around flats, the inlet, the main lake, the river channel and the river mouth.
