Lake Eufaula, Kerr Reservoir fishing report

Below is the fishing report for Lake Eufaula and the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir. Both were submitted on May 18.

Lake Eufaula

Elevation: Normal

Water clarity: Murky

Blue catfish, striped bass: Action is excellent with cut bait, live bait, live shad, small lures and top water below the dam.

Black crappie and white crappie: Action is good with grasshoppers, jigs, minnows and tube jigs around coves, creek channels, docks, rocks and shorelines.

White bass: Action is excellent with jigs, plastics and small lures below the dam and in the main lake.

Kerr Reservoir

Elevation: Normal

Water clarity: Murky

Spotted bass, largemouth bass: Action is good with Alabama rig, bill baits, jerk bait, lipless baits, plastics, rogues and spinnerbaits around brush structures, channels, coves, points, riprap, shorelines and weed beds.

Blue catfish, channel catfish and flathead catfish: Action is fair with chicken liver, cut bait, dough bait, live bait, live shad, punch bait, shad and stinkbait around channels, creek channels, flats, the main lake, river channel and the river mouth.

White crappie: Action is fair with hair jigs, jigs, minnows and plastics around creek channels, the river channel, the river mouth, shallows and weed beds.
