Kinta, McCurtain teams win districts, prepare for regionals

Kinta High School’s boys and girls basketball teams won district championships on Saturday, Feb. 9. They faced Buffalo Valley. Final score for the girls’ championship game was 68-28. Final score for the boys’ championship game was 40-37. The teams are preparing for regional tournaments on Feb. 14. McCurtain High School’s boys and girls basketball teams are district champs. District finals were on Saturday, Feb. 9, and the McCurtain teams defeated teams from Oaks Mission. Final score for the boys championship game was 50-34. Final score for the girls championship game was 64-26. The teams are preparing for regionals on Thursday, Feb. 14. They will face Copan at Mvskoke Dome in Okmulgee. The girls game will begin at 6:30 p.m, and the boys game will be at 8 p.m.
