Kinta at home, Porum will host Keota in districts

Two area basketball schools out of the four in Classes A and B will host district tournaments, which will be Feb. 9-10. Here's all of the playoff assignments Classes A and B area teams. For Stigler and Quinton, keep in mind that Classes 2A and 3A playoff assignments come out on Feb. 2.

Kinta

The Eagles (boys 14-4, ranked 12th in Class B, girls 13-5, ranked 10th in Class B) host Braggs (11-7 boys, 3-14 girls) and Wilson (Henryetta) (6-4 boys, 8-7 girls). Both Kinta squads have beaten Braggs twice this season.

Kinta is in the Varnum regional, which has a Webbers Falls sub-site and would go to Stroud for the Class B Area II playoffs.

McCurtain

The Bulldogs (boys 10-7, girls 12-6, ranked 12th in Class B) go with Milburn (0-14 boys, 4-12 girls) to Moss (10-9 boys, 5-13 girls).

Moss' regional has a sub-site in Tupelo. McCurtain would go to Quinton for the Class B Area IV playoffs.

Keota at Porum

Keota (2-8 boys, 4-8 girls) and Clayton (14-3, ranked 13th in Class A both boys and girls) will play at Porum (10-6 girls, 1-12 boys) for districts.

On Dec. 19, Porum's girls beat Keota 46-41 and Keota's boys beat Porum 67-54.

The Lions and Panthers are in the Glenpool regional, which has a sub-site in Okay. If a team from either school reaches the Class A Area II playoffs, it would go to Cleveland.
