KInta holds homecoming, tourneys heat up in Quinton, Porum

Kinta hopes for a strong rematch against Arkoma, feeling fresh on a fresh homecoming night, following a week of rest. The homecoming ceremony starts at 6 p.m. Meanwhile, Quinton advances in its home tourney and the boys second round plays at the Porum Armstrong Bank Tournament. Here's a look at tonight's slate.

Kinta vs. Arkoma

Boys: Eagles (4-3, ranked 16th in Class B) vs. Razorbacks (2-1) 6:30 p.m.

Last meeting: Arkoma 61, Kinta 52 (Feb. 3, 2017)

Notes: This is the first home game in four weeks for Kinta.

Girls: Eagles (5-2, ranked 15th in Class B) vs. Razorbacks (1-2) 8 p.m.

Last meeting: Arkoma 40, Kinta 36 (OT) (Feb. 3, 2017)

Notes: Kinta has won four of its last five games.

Quinton FSB Classic

Quinton girls (3-1) vs. Pocola (4-0, ranked 15th in Class 3A) 7 p.m.

Notes: Quinton came back in the fourth quarter to beat Caddo 34-33 on a baseline jump shot by Kaitlen Kupec with two seconds left. The victory against the Bruins, which are ranked 20th in Class 2A, represented the second win of the week against a ranked team for the Savages. Tonight, Quinton fights against a bigger Pocola squad for a third. Kupec said the key will be boxing out and rebounding against the Indians' big post players.

Quinton boys (3-1) vs. Caddo (3-3, ranked 20th in Class 2A) 8:30 p.m.

Notes: Quinton made seven three-pointers in the first-round win against Warner.

Porum Armstrong Bank Tournament

Porum boys (0-4) vs. Cave Springs (1-1) 5:50 p.m.

Notes: Porum's Montana Ellison has 31 points in the last two games.

McCurtain boys (6-2) vs. Panama (3-0) 7:10 p.m.

Last meeting: Panama 76, McCurtain (Feb. 6, 2017)

Notes: McCurtain has won five straight games.
