Kinta boys win in Arkoma tourney, girls lose first game

The Kinta Eagles played the Arkoma tournament on Dec. 3 against the Mountainburg Dragons. 

The boys came out on top with a 61-38 win. Eriq Caraballo had 16 points, Kaleb Stephens had 15 points, Hunter Ary had 12 points, Blaine Cole had seven points, Bandon Collins had six points, Canon Monks had three points, and JP Pierzima had two points. 

The girls fell short in 37-34 loss to the Dragons. Sara Ford had 16 points, Jaclyn Shaffer had eight points, Katy King had five points, Blayse Howell had four points, and Tedi Terrell had one point. 

The teams will continue in the Arkoma tournament until Dec. 7. They will be competing in the 1st National Bank Classic on Dec. 9-14.
