Kinta Boys Basketball win Arkoma tourney, girls are consolation champs
The Kinta Eagles soared this week as the teams competed in the Arkoma Tournament.
The boys team went undefeated in the tournament. They first played Mountainburg for a 61-38 win.
They then played Booneville and came out with a 56-51 win.
For their final game, the Eagles played Mulberry/Pleasant View for a championship win of 43-39.
The girls played Mountainburg on Dec. 3 with a close loss of 37-34.
The girls came back with a 45-38 win against Booneville on Dec. 4.
With the win against Booneville, the Lady Eagles were up against Mulberry/Pleasant View. The Eagles came out with the win, 40-11. It wasn’t enough for the Lady Eagles to win the tournament, but they were consolation champs.
The Eagles began the First National Bank Classic on Dec. 9, with those games set to end on Dec. 14.
The next regular season game will be Dec. 17 at Stuart.
