Kinta and Porum playing districts at home

Kinta's boys basketball team won its district tournament against tame opponents the past two years, but hosts a sleeper Whitesboro team at home this time. Meanwhile, Porum's teams plays soft opponents in their home district finals. Also, Keota and McCurtain's teams advanced to district finals. Here's a look at the hoops slate for tonight.

Kinta vs. Whitesboro

Girls: Eagles (7-16) vs. Bulldogs (10-13) 6:30 p.m.

Last game: Weleetka 45, Kinta 28; LeFlore 45, Whitesboro 34.

Last meeting: Whitesboro 43, Kinta 24 (Nov. 17, 2016)

Notes: When Kinta lost to Whitesboro in November, it was the first game after Kinta's Cianna Titsworth went down with a partial ACL tear. TItsworth scored a total of 42 points in the Jan. 31 game against Panola and Feb. 3 against Arkoma, signalling that she is back to the attacking form that made her a leading scorer the two seasons prior to this year.

Boys: Eagles (19-6, ranked No. 1 in Class B) vs. Bulldogs (9-15) 8 p.m.

Last game: Kinta 59, Weleetka 37; Wright City 72, Whitesboro 37.

Last meeting: Kinta 53, Whitesboro 21 (Nov. 17, 2016)

Notes: Kinta shut down Whitesboro in November when the Bulldogs were depleted with injuries. Now healthy, Whitesboro enters the Eagle's Nest as a threat. In the past month, Bulldogs have beaten quality opponents like 17th-ranked Moyers, Panama and Smithville. For Kinta, Jude Johnson has 67 points in the past three games.

Porum vs. Gans

Girls: Panthers (18-4, ranked 20th in Class A) vs. Gans (12-11) 6:30 p.m.

Last game: Porum 62, Oaks 47; Gans 53, Cave Springs 36.

Last meeting: Porum 53, Gans 30 (Jan. 10, 2017)

Notes: Gans has won three straight games, having beating Cave Springs to play Porum in the district final. Porum has claimed six straight victories. The Panthers have not lost to the Grizzlies in the past four years. Gans has scored 50 points five times this season while Porum has not allowed 50. The Panthers average 55.5 points per game.

Boys: Panthers (12-10) vs. Gans (7-14) 8 p.m.

Last game: Oaks Mission 77, Porum 68; Gans 55, Cave Springs 44.

Last meeting: Porum 62, Gans 53 (Jan. 10, 2017)

Notes: Gans downed Cave Springs in the district opener on Friday to play Porum for the title game.  The Grizzlies lost their last four regular-season games. Porum is 5-1 against Gans under coach Darrick Farriell, having won the last three meetings.

McCurtain at Moyers

Boys: Bulldogs (11-15) at Tigers (17-7, ranked 17th in Class B) 8 p.m.

Last game: McCurtain 54, Eagletown 42; Clayton 61, Moyers 44.

Girls: Bulldogs (6-18) at Tigers (10-13) 6:30 p.m.

Last game: McCurtain 69, Eagletown 36; Clayton 45, Moyers 39.

Notes: Moyers' last regular-season game was nine days ago.

Keota girls (11-11) vs. Cameron (19-6) in Arkoma 6:30 p.m.

Last game: Keota 56, Arkoma 46; Cameron 71, Cave Springs 55.

Last meeting: Cameron 60, Keota 37 (Jan. 5, 2017)

Notes: The Lions had three players in double figures during their district-opening win against Arkoma on Friday, Dec. 10 (Samantha Carry 13, Ally McClary 13, Jadi Welch 12). When Cameron beat Keota earlier this season, it was the Lions' first game with Greg Grimmett as head coach.

Keota boys at Arkoma 8 p.m.

Last game: Keota 56, Cameron 51; Arkokma 74, Howe 65.

Last meeting: Arkoma 80, Keota 62 (Jan. 27, 2017)

Notes: Phillip Lipari scored 25 points in Keota's district-opeining win against Cameron. Arkoma won six of its last seven regular-season games.
