A good time for catching largemouth bass, more area fishing report

Below are the weekly fishing reports for Lake Eufaula and the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir. Both were filed on Sunday.

Lake Eufaula

Elevation: Normal

Water clarity: Murky

Blue catfish and channel catfish: Action is excellent with chicken liver, live shad and shad on coves and sand bars.

White crappie and black crappie: Action is good with minnows on docks.

Largemouth bass and spotted bass: Action is fair with plastics and spinnerbaits on coves, shallow areas, shorelines and weed beds. Also, Carolina rigs are good for catching largemouth bass right now.

Kerr Reservoir

Elevation: Normal

Water clarity: Stained

Black crappie: Action is slow witih minnows in the river channel and standing timber.

Largemouth bass: Action is good with jigs and spinnerbaits in creek channels and weed beds.

Blue catfish: Action is slow with punch bait and shad on flats and sand bars.
