Playoff scenarios

If Stigler beats Muldrow and Eufaula loses to Roland, then Stigler, Muldrow and Eufaula would be in a three-way tie for second place. Since all three would be 1-1 against the other two, it would be determined by district points. In that case, Stigler would need a 15-point win in order to ensure second place. If a three-way tie occurs, but Stigler does not win by 15, the Panthers would be third in the district. If Stigler and Eufaula both win, Stigler takes third. If Stigler loses, it finishes fourth.

Keota wins District B-8 with a win against Cave Springs. If Keota loses and Arkoma loses to Porum, the Lions finish second in the district because of the head-to-head tiebreaker between Keota and Cave Springs. If Keota loses and Arkoma wins, then Keota, Arkoma and Cave Springs would be in a three-way tie for first place. Since all three would have 1-1 records against the other two, Keota would win the tiebreaker according to district points.

Porum and Quinton are out of playoff contention.

Home playoff games

The top two teams in a district host first-round playoff games. Hence, Stigler must win by 15 with a Eufaula loss in order to receive a home first-round playoff game.

Keota has clinched a home playoff game. If the Lions win their district, they lock up home games for the first two rounds.

Potential first-round playoff matchups

Keota: If the Lions win the district, they play the winner of Friday's game between Oaks-Mission and South Coffeyville in the first round. If the Lions fall to second, they would play the loser of Friday's game between Davenport and Prue.

Stigler: If the Panthers reach second, they would play the winner of Friday's game between Keys and Lincoln Christian. If the Panthers take third, they would play Sequoyah Tahlequah. If the Panthers finish fourth, they would play Jay.
