Area Basketball Information

Basketball for football playing schools (Stigler, Keota and Quinton) begins on Nov. 29. Non-football playing schools (McCurtain and Kinta) started on Nov. 1.

Stigler opens the season at home against Pocola on Nov. 29 and close opening week at home against Talihina on Dec. 2. Girls Head Coach Gary Hollingshed is in his first year at Stigler. Chris Parker is in his first year as the Stigler boys basketball head coach.

Keota opens the season at home against McCurtain on Nov. 30 and holds homecoming on Dec. 3 against Gans. Girls Head Coach Moody Smith is in his first year at Keota. Doug Cagle is in his fifth season as head coach of the boys basketball team.

Quinton opens the season on the road against Wilburton on Nov. 30, home opener against Crowder on Dec. 2 and ends the week on the road against Hartshorne on Dec. 3. Darrick Farriell is in his third season as the boys Head Coach and second season as girls head coach.

Kinta plays at Wister on Dec. 3. Clay Conley is in his second season as Kinta girls and boys head coach.

McCurtain plays at Keota on Nov. 29 abd ends the week at home against Gore on Dec. 3. Bryan Schlekeway is in his fifth season as the girls head coach. Jason Ward is in his first season as the boys head coach.
