Zelma Adams

Zelma (Coble) Adams of Keota was born Aug. 23, 1929, in Keota to Claude and Florence (Weece) Coble and passed away Oct. 31, 2018, in Stigler at the age of 89.

She is survived by two daughters, Arletta Lewis of Tucson, Ariz. and Dianna Adams of Keota; one son,

Arlie Wayne Adams of Whitesboro; one sister, Marcella McSperritt of Keota; one brother, Burl Coble of Stigler; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Zelma was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Adams; four sisters, Zula Jones, Charlotte Johnson, Jeanette Coble and Claudia Coble; two brothers, Charles Coble and infant Donald Ray Coble and her parents.

Zelma was member of the Iron Bridge Free Will Baptist Church and she loved the Lord.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Unity Baptist Church in Keota with the Rev. Dale Wendlandt officiating. Burial followed at Iron Bridge Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory in Stigler.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Jones, Matthew Jones, John Grogan, Ethan Adams, Levi Adams and Bobby Benivites.

Honorary pallbearer was Lynn McSperritt.

Viewing was held at the Mallory-Martin Keota Chapel on Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
