Wendy Holt

Wendy Holt, 70, of Barling, Ark. passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, in Mercy Crest Retirement Living Center.

She was born on June 7, 1948, at New Jerusalem, Keota to Lester and Sylvia (McSperitt) Walton.

Wendy grew up in Stigler, where she received her education. She married J.W. Holt and they raised their three sons. She loved her family and especially loved watching her kids play ball. In her younger years, she was a waitress at Stigler Café. In the later years of her life, she enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends and enjoying retirement. She enjoyed going to church. She was of Holiness faith. 

Wendy is survived by her three sons, LaWayne Holt and wife, Melissa, of Greenwood, Ark.,  Layle Holt and wife, Christine, of Stigler and Mike Holt and wife, Allie, of Fort Gibson; six grandchildren, Malorie, Meighan, Tori, Alex, Lindsey and Mallie; six great-grandchildren, Camden, Marley, Mace, Rory, Macey and Riley and two brothers, T.W. Walton and wife, Nellie, of Stigler and Bill Walton and wife, Alice, of Kinta.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Sylvia Walton.

Memorial services will be held at2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at First Christian Church in Stigler with the Rev. Jack Sloan officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
