Vonda O’Dell

Vonda Nell O’Dell passed on to be with the Lord Sunday April 22, 2018 in Warner.
Vonda was born Aug. 9, 1929 in Webbers Falls  to Bill and Lizzie Hensley. She was the youngest of 13 children. She was united in marriage to her first husband, Noel Barnes in 1948. They made their home in Porum. She was a housewife and loving proud mother to their five children. In 1975, Nell married her second husband Tom O’Dell and they made their home in Fort Smith, Ark. before moving back to Porum.
Vonda Nell O’Dell attended the Assembly of God Church in Porum where she thoroughly enjoyed her church service and working within the church.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry McLain of Porum, Beth and husband, Jim Gehle, of Webbers Falls and Mary Barnes of Muskogee; her sons Larry and wife, Valerie, of Porum and Tom and wife, Anita Barnes, of Porum;  and her sister Ruth McDaniel. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five sisters and six brothers.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the Assembly of God Church in Porum with burial at Fields Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Porum Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
