Vic Schultz

Vic Schultz, 69, of Durant, passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at his home in Durant. He was born Jan. 7, 1948, in Chicago to Babe and Dorothy (Draftz) Schultz.
Vic grew up in Chicago, where he graduated from high school. He attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, where he met Mary Garner. They were married Jan. 3, 1971, and made their home in Durant. Vic began working newspaper delivery services for the Daily Oklahoman and the Sherman-Dension Herald Democrat.
He loved fishing, bowling, playing video games and playing bridge. He was a life master level bridge player.
Vic is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Schultz of the home; two sons, Gregory Claude Schultz and wife Susan Oberg of Athens, Ga., Bradley Karl Schultz and wife Lori Jean Schultz of Manhattan, Kan.; four grandchildren, Michael Oberg, Pauline Kilmer, A.J. Schultz, Dillan DeLair; a sister, Dorothy Lachner of Livermore, Calif.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Babe and Dorothy Schultz and two brothers, Robert and Jerry Schultz.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at West Liberty Cemetery. Speakers include family and friends. Pallbearers include Logan Johnson, Dillan DeLair, Greg Schultz and Brad Schultz.
Burial will follow immediately under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
