Tommie Shrum

Tommie Lee Shrum of Broken Arrow was born Aug. 8, 1947, in Porum to Arlie and Verdia (Hendrixson) Shrum. He passed away on March 1, 2018, in Tulsa at the age of 70.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, of the home; sons, Tim Shrum and wife, Kendra, of Broken Arrow, John Shrum and fiancée, Bridget Perez, of Tulsa; sisters, Peggy Cravens and husband, Charlie, of Porum, Karen Firestone and husband, Timothy of Vian; grandchild, Tuesday Shrum of Broken Arrow; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tommie was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Verdia Shrum; one brother, Ronnie Gene Shrum.
He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was an Elvis enthusiast and he loved watching wrestling and OU sports, drawing and hot rods.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Field’s Cemetery in Porum.
Pallbearers were John Shrum, Tim Shrum, Brian Mendenhall, Michael Cravens, Cannon Cravens, Dakota Mendenhall and Kelly Osburn.
Viewing was Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Services were entrusted to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
