Tom Rodgers

Tom Rodgers of Keota was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Spiro to Virgil Lee and Lois Pauline (Greenwood) Rodgers. Tom peacefully passed away at his home on March 27, 2019, at the age of 74.
He is survived by his companion, Mary Goad; three daughters, Robin Rodgers, Tammy Rose and Rebecca Barenberg; one son, Doyle Spiers; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Pollard; four brothers, Rick, Chuck, Harold and Danny Rodgers; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Virgil and Lois Rodgers; his son, Steve Rodgers and three brothers, Bobby, Johnny and Paul Rodgers.    
Tom was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3860 in Spiro. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Tom loved spending time with his grandchildren and always celebrated their hunting trophies with excitement. He was famous for his delicious deer jerky and the best part is, he would tell you so. He loved all of his kids and grandkids dearly. Tom was ornery, stubborn and witty, which are all things his family cherished.
