Thomas ‘Tom’ Ford, Sr.
Thomas “Tom” Dale Ford, Sr. was born in Quinton on Aug. 18, 1946 to Lusios and Ruth (Mathis) Ford. He passed away in Quinton on Aug. 23, 2020 at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife, Vonnett, of the home; his children, Carol Lovell and husband, Jerry, of McCurtain, Tommy Ford and wife, Tammy, of Crowder, Jenny Nave and husband, Todd, of Crowder, Lyndon “Beazer” Ford of Whitefield, Daphne Harper and husband, Leslie, of Cleveland, and Trisha Huggins and husband, Vince, of Stigler; his grandchildren, Emily Williams, Casey Monroe, Ashley Whitehead, Megan Breedlove, Jayce Stephenson, Julie Stephenson, Weston Satterfield, Andrew Satterfield, Dylan Hutchinson, Ashlyn Todd, Jordan Harper, Josh Harper, Tommy Huggins, Brock Huggins and Kaden Huggins; his siblings, Faye McDonald of Kinta, Mark Ford of Adamson, and Linda Reece of Warner; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Lusios and Ruth Ford; his stepmother, Levette Ford; his siblings, Jerry Ford, Terry Ford and Glennis Brown; and his grandson, Dalton Hutchinson.
Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors and gardening. He loved watching westerns and watching Jeopardy on TV. He was loved by many in the community and had many friends. He will truly be missed by everyone.
Viewing was held at Mallory Chapel in Quinton from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24 and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, with family visitation from 5 to 7 p.m.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 at Shady Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Luther Brown and the Rev. Heath Eldridge officiating. Interment under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
Pallbearers were Weston Satterfield, Andrew Satterfield, Lucas Breedlove, Mason Glenn, Brock Huggins and Tommy Huggins.
Honorary pallbearers were Mikeal Wagnon, Alex Wagnon, Jack Denny, Daniel Cloud, Jerry “Dumar” Ford, Kenneth Miller, Tyler Breedlove, Gary McKee, Vince Huggins and Leslie Harper.
