Thomas ‘Boone’ McCoy

Thomas “Boone” James McCoy was born in Brooken, Okla. on July 24, 1937, to Oren McCoy and Alice (Boyd) Cooper. He passed away in Broken Arrow, Okla. on Aug. 11, 2021, at the age of 84.  

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie, of the home; his children, Michael McCoy of Broken Arrow, Okla., Konnie Corley of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Kent Blair of Coweta, Okla.; six grandkids, Kenna Morrison and husband, Joel, of Howe, Okla., Cara Armstrong and husband, Travis, of Poteau, Okla., Nikki Rogers of Muskogee, Okla., Bailey Rogers of Muskogee, Okla., Kyle Corley of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Kirsty Blair of Coweta, Okla.; 10 great-grandkids, McKell Morrison of Howe, Okla.; Connor, Tyler and Jordan Morrison of Pocola, Okla.; Emma and Leah Avants of Muskogee, Okla.; Jackson and Braylee Goad of Muskogee, Okla.; Kyndle Corley of Coweta, Okla.; and Keely Corley of Coweta, Okla.; one sister, Mary Ann Spradling and husband, Jack, of Stigler, Okla.; two brothers, Ben McCoy and wife, Sandy, of Stigler, Okla. and Irman Gray and wife, Judy, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one niece, Marilyn Presley of Heavener, Okla.; and many more loved ones.

Thomas James was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Cooper; his dad, George Cooper; his father, Oren McCoy; and his daughter, Shana McCoy.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with the Rev. David Bigger officiating. Interment at Stigler City Cemetery was under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers were Richard Lacy, Steven Hill, Greg Hutchins, Donny Helmer, Rick Stout and Daren Stout.
