Tarpley ‘Ralph’ DeFoor

Tarpley “Ralph” DeFoor of Muskogee was born Jan. 9, 1929, in Cedar Creek, Ark. to Tarpley James and Gertrude (Franks) DeFoor and passed away Dec. 17, 2018, in Muskogee at the age of 89.

Ralph is survived by one son, Michael DeFoor of Muskogee; one daughter, Donna Jo Baker of Kansas City, Mo.; one grandson, Jason Baker and wife, Steffanie, of Kansas City, Mo.; two great-granddaughters, Katie and Emma of Kansas City, Mo. and brother-in-law, Rany Mathews and wife, Joyce, of Kinta.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Tarpley and Gertrude DeFoor; wife, Maurine DeFoor and two sisters, Laverna Faucet and Janice Mathews.

Ralph graduated high school and served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the York Street Christian Church in Muskogee. He enjoyed fishing.

Services will be held at Fields Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, with Bro. Rany Mathews officiating. 

Interment will be under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
