Tammy Renee Underwood, 47, of Stigler, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019, at her home. She was the first born daughter to Phillip and Katie (Allen) Sharpe on Aug. 29, 1971, in Stigler. She was educated in Stigler and married her high school sweetheart, Bryan Underwood, on Oct. 15, 1993. They ultimately made their home in Stigler, where they had and raised two wonderful children.
Tammy was a blessing to know. She always had a smile on her face and a laugh that was contagious. She treated everyone with compassion and kindness. She dedicated her life to her family. They were her happily ever after. Tammy also had another family that she loved at Stigler First National Bank, where she worked as a teller for the last six years until her death. She brought a lot of joy and laughter to her co-workers and all those she waited on in the front lobby or the drive-thru. She always put a smile on everyone’s face and her laughter and witty remarks will be missed by all. The love she felt from her co-workers and the customers she came in contact with brought her great joy. Tammy was unselfishly loved and will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew her.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Bryan Underwood of the home; her son, Dillon Underwood and fiance’, Britany Robbins, of Whitefield; her daughter, Hailee Underwood of the home; her father, Phillip Sharpe and wife, Sharon, of Stigler; four nephews, Ryan Simmons, Tristian Simmons, Colton Paul and Kyle Underwood; a niece, Danielle Cox; great-niece, Katie Simmons; three aunts, Carol Azevedo, Linda Wilkett and Ellen Patton; two sisters, Natisha Simmons and husband, Levi, of Beggs and Tiffeny Sharpe of Beggs; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Keith and Barbara Underwood of Beaver Mountain; a brother-in-law, Scott Underwood and wife, Teri, of Sallisaw; a sister-in-law, Sherry Inge and husband, Kenneth, of Fort Smith, Ark. and an abundance of extended family and friends.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Katie Sharpe and numerous family members.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Stigler First Assembly of God Church. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
