Steve Hurst

Steve Allen Hurst was born May 15, 1956, in Tulsa, to Kenith and Ruby (Long) Hurst. He passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 63 in Keota.

Steve was a self-employed computer technician and co-creator of the “World’s Greatest Resource” of ventriloquism: (www.ventriloquistcentral.com).

Steve was a curator of ventriloquism, he enjoyed building dummies and playing guitar.

He is survived by his parents, Kenith and Ruby Hurst of Keota; four children, Chris Hurst and wife, Lisa, of Peterborough, England, Peter Hurst and wife, Shannon, of Redding, Calif., Paul Hurst of Redding, Calif. and Matt Fiser of Fort Smith, Ark; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Debbie Hurst of Keota, Roger and Rhonda Hurst of Keota and Keith and Lori Hurst of Tulsa; and his ex-wife, Carilyn Palmer of Keota.

Steve was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur (Judge) and Dicy (Walton) Hurst and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Beatrice (Mize) Long.

A memorial service is pending, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
