Shirley Rose (Fitzer) Holley
Shirley Rose (Fitzer) Holley was born in Brooken, on Feb. 8, 1942, to Barney and Hazel (Beard) Fitzer. She passed away in Fort Smith, Ark. on Aug. 10, 2019, at the age of 77.
She is survived by her soulmate, George Gill; two daughters, Janet Crawford and husband, John, of Tulsa and Linda Allard and husband, Steve, of Tulsa; one son, Kenneth Holley of Sayre; three grandchildren, Dustin, Matthew and Sara; five great-grandchildren, C.J., Dakyra, Nathanial, Xyniah and Sylvia of Tulsa; her sisters, Jean Daniels of Kinta, Ann Fuhrman and husband, Brent, of California, Glenda Karch and husband, Rodney, of Canadian, Erlene Prentice and husband, Neal, of Greenwood, Ark., Vickie Horton and husband, Jack, of Stigler and Donna Cox and husband, Auty, of Holdenville; her brothers, Don Basden and wife, Eddie, of Enterprise, Bill Basden and wife, Donna, of Tulsa, Clay Basden and wife, Beverly, of Enterprise and Doug Basden and wife, Shannon, of Stigler; aunt/sisters, Dean Brittain of Enterprise and Avo Walker and husband, Gerald, of Tahlequah; uncle/brother, Erdie Beard and wife, Neoma, of Eufaula; stepdaughter, Loretta Petty and husband, Kevin, of McCurtain; stepgranddaughter, Shayla Petty of McCurtain and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Ned Fitzer; her mother and stepfather, Hazel and Frank Basden; her sisters, Jodie Purdom and Bonnie Dimock; her grandparents, John and Minnie Beard and her husband, Shirley Ray Holley.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler, with Don Duval officiating. Interment followed at Mountain Home Cemetery in Whitefield under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
Viewing was from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 12 and 13, 2019, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler
Pallbearers were Doug Basden, Clay Basden, John Crawford, Steve Allard, Rocky Purdom and Dale Gill.
Honorary pallbearers are Neal Prentice, Don Basden and Rodney Karch.
