Shirley Ballard

Shirley Ann Ballard, 74, of Whitefield, passed away June 3, 2018, at her home. She was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Keota to Gus and Lorene (Patterson) Woodall.
After the death of their parents, Shirley and her siblings, Stubby (Lavena), Linda and Kenneth were raised by Mable Salyard along with her daughter Margie. Shirley graduated from Keota High School. She married Junior Moore in 1962, and they moved to Tulsa to begin a family. After 15 years in Tulsa, they returned to their hometown of Keota and she began her career at Sparks Regional Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark., where she retired in 1997. Shirley married Billy H. Ballard in 1989, and began working in their family business, BB Leather Goods. Shirley loved to garden and fish with her special friend Bo McQuay. She loved her family unconditionally. She had a way of correcting you without ever raising her voice. She always had encouraging words and sage advice and would be the first one there to help those in need. Shirley had many friends that loved her dearly. She was a member of Shiloh Assembly of God Church in Enterprise. She loved her church and church family. She will be remembered for Grandkids Day and Great-Grand’s Tea Parties. She loved kids. She adored her family. Shirley was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Joy Renee Antrich and husband, Jerry, of Whitefield, Dana Lynn Stubblefield and husband, Rick, of Stigler; two grandsons, Heith Stubblefield and fiancée, Andrea Bloxham, of Stigler, Hunter Stubblefield of Stigler; two granddaughters, Ashley Monks and husband, Jim, of Quinton, Andrea Antrich of Stigler; four great-granddaughters, Serenity and Brooklynn Stubblefield of Willow Hills, Ill., Zoey Antrich of Stigler, Penelope Monks of Quinton; two sisters, Linda Ledbetter of Van Buren, Ark., Margie Berry and husband, Buster Harlon, of Fort Smith, Ark.; a brother, Kenneth Woodall and wife, Brenda, of Checotah; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Bo McQuay.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Lorene Woodall, her aunt (mom) Mable Salyard; two husbands, Junior Moore, the father of her children, Billy H. Ballard; a sister and brother-in-law, Lavena (Stubby) and Ray Parker; sister-in-law, Diana Woodall; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth Ladd and husband, David; brothers-in-law, Gene Moore and Kenneth Perry.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Shiloh Assembly of God Church in Enterprise with the Rev. Rick McElyea. Eulogist was Mr. Bill Adcock. Pallbearers included Justin Roberts, Linnie Hice, Wayne Unsell, Dennis Winklepleck, Joe Perrymore and Jim Monks. Honorary pallbearers included Eric Ladd, Donald Brown, Kenny Shaver, Rick Bumpers, Kirby Thomas, Jason Martin, George Winklepleck, Chuck Rodgers, Matthew Norrid and Troy Monks.
Burial followed at Keota Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
