Rita Minyard

Rita Rose (Bushhousen) Minyard was born in Woodriver, Neb. on July 15, 1928 to Arthur and Mary (Gehring) Bushhousen. She passed away on July 18, 2020 in Stigler, at the age of 92. 

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Mendenhall and husband, David, of Oktaha; her grandchildren, Jennifer Roe and husband, John, of Muskogee, Matthew Mendenhall of Springfield, Mo. and Jerrie Minyard of Quinton; her great-grandchild, Nathan Minyard of Quinton; her sister, Amy Jo Sherman of Grand Isle, Neb. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary Bushhousen; her husband, Jimmy Lee Minyard; one daughter, Lavonne Carter; and four siblings.

Rita enjoyed reading books and spending time with her family.
