Rhonda Eakle

Rhonda Sue Eakle of McAlester, formerly of Quinton, was born Oct. 19, 1961, in Quinton to Dale and Carolyn (Ary) Eakle. She passed away on Aug. 13, 2018, in Tulsa at the age of 56.

She is survived by two sisters, Gina Chrestman and husband, Jack, of Quinton and Deanna Eakle of Quinton; brother, Dale Lee Eakle of Quinton; nieces, Jennifer Glynn and husband, Gary, of Tahlequah and Jaclyn Chrestman of Tahlequah; great nephews, Aidan Glynn and Beckham Chrestman; great niece, Greenlee Glynn; father, Dale C. Eakle and wife, Sue, of Tahlequah; best friends, Gwen Grizzle of McAlester and Betty Longcrier of Checotah; uncles, Charley Ary and spouse, Onesimo Peralez, of Henderson, Nev., and Eldon Ary and wife, Inga, of Blanket, Texas; aunt, Billie Chrestman of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and numerous cousins and friends.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Sue Eakle; maternal grandparents, Howard Lee and Madge Ary and Earle Ary; and paternal grandparents, Roy and Bertha Eakle. She was a devout Christian. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, reading books, working on computers, teaching Bible school and doing mission work through the San Bois Southern Baptist Association. Her greatest pride was her nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at West Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Thom Chappelle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations towards Rhonda’s funeral expenses may be mailed to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 717, Stigler, OK, 74462.
