Reginald Holder

Reginald Lee Holder was born Nov. 1, 1946, in Hoyt to Ora Lois (Gideon) and Rolf Reginald Holder and passed away on Nov. 5, 2017, in Tulsa at the age of 71.
He is survived by two sisters, Elaine Bigger and husband, Donald, of Hoyt, Nadine Read of Blue Springs, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Mary Holder of Petaluma, Calif.; one aunt, Wanda Glo Cariker of Jenks; five nieces; eight nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
Reginald was preceded in death by his parents, Rolf and Ora Holder; two brothers, Wendell Holder and James Holder; two sisters, Helen Jean Wyatt and Ramona Allen; two brothers-in-law, Loyd Wyatt and Ronnie Allen; one sister-in-law, Jeanette Holder; one nephew, Gordon Read, one niece, Michelle Leigh Holder.
Reginald served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam Conflict. He was wounded at Hue, Vietnam on July 4, 1967, and recovered in Cameron Bay in Germany. He was in the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, 9th MAB. After serving in the USMC, Reginald worked for many years for the City of Tulsa Parks Department.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at Hoyt Cemetery with the Rev. David Bigger officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jon Paulk, Taylor Paulk, Michael Nelson, Scott Schrader, Gary Read and Frank Read.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Barber, Paul Spears, Carl Wixom, Ray Allen, Robert Allen, Steve Peterson, Kevin Peterson and Randy Read.
Viewing was at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Services entrusted to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler.
