R.A. Mitchell of Quinton was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Mounds to Russell Ambrose and Dona (Sanders) Mitchell and passed away April 4, 2017, in Eufaula at the age of 91. He is survived by two sons, Joe Mitchell of Quinton, and Steve Mitchell and wife, Rhonda

Ruth Helen Moore of Whitefield was born July 20, 1924 in Stigler to Tom and Sara Carpenter Smith and passed away April 8, 2017, in Stigler at the age of 92.
She is survived by three daughters, Lola Joyce Bronsent and husband, Ken, of Roseburg, Ore., Harriet Flowers of Whitefield, Helena Kay Lindsey and husband, Joseph of Whitefield; one son, Charles Don Moore and wife, Linda of Whitefield; 13 grandchildren, Janis, Lori, Chrissy Jo, Summer, Stevie Lynn, Angie, Justin, Erik, R.J., David, Dana, Joseph and Lisa; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Sara Smith, and her husband, Samuel F. Moore. She was a member and much loved by Sandridge Pentecostal Church of Enterprise. She was loved and will be missed by her family and the community.
Funeral services were held April 12 at Sandridge Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bryan Bryant officiating. Burial followed at Whitefield Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
Pallbearers were Justin Monks, Matt Monks, Dusty Monks, Reid Monks, Steve Bratton and Bradley Hollie. Honorary pallbearer was Bryan Few.
