Pauline Hensley

Pauline Faye (Forrester) Hensley was born in Keota, on Sept. 6, 1925, to Claud Lee and Vina (Bridges) Forrester. She passed away in Stigler, on Nov. 14, 2019, at the age of 94.

She is survived by her sons, Vecoe Hensley and wife, Karen, of McAlester and Felix Hensley and wife, Chris, of Ponca City; her grandchildren, Melissa Price and husband, Treaver, of McAlester, Kyle Hensley and wife, Chandra, of McAlester and Ryan Hensley and wife, Jessi, of Ponca City; her great-grandchildren, Jason Price, Kate Price, Anna Hensley, Abram Hensley, Hadley Hensley, and Harper Hensley; her sisters, Lucille Price of Keota, Charlotte Jo Forrester of Stigler and Aline Matney of Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hensley; her parents, Claud and Vina Forrester and three brothers, Othel Forrester, Millard Forrester and Marlin Forrester.

Pauline graduated from Keota High School and Northeastern State College in Tahlequah with an Education Degree.  She taught for 34 years in Haskell County (communities of Cartersville, Gingle’s Mountain, Red Hill and Keota).

She enjoyed gardening, being a homemaker and living on the farm.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov.18, 2019, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with Bro. Tommie Parker officiating.

Viewing was from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.  

Pallbearers were Ryan Hensley, Kyle Hensley, Treaver Price, Mason Price, Doug Foster and Tommy Joe Roberson.
