Paulann Denny

Paulann Denny, 78, of Quinton, passed away on June 4, 2021, at her home. Paulann was born on Oct. 29, 1942, in Quinton, Okla. to Robert Andrew and Pauline (Self) Risenhoover. She graduated from Quinton High School in 1961. On May 4, 1961, Paulann married John Allen Denny. They were happily married for 60 years and raised three children together. She taught Head Start at KI BOIS in Quinton for over 25 years. Paulann was a member of Jesus Name Pentecostal Church in Quinton. She loved her church and also taught Sunday school. Paulann enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and family. She loved them unconditionally.

Survivors include her husband, John Allen Denny, of the home; two sons: John Paul Denny and wife, Pam, of Quinton, Okla. and Micky Denny and wife, Tracy, of Bokchito, Okla.; daughter, Jeanine Bowling and husband, Mike, of Rogers, Ark.; brother, Johnny Risenhoover and wife, Pam, of Quinton, Okla.; sisters: Roberta Bray, of Quinton, Okla., Linda Needham and husband, Doyle, of Perry, Okla., Mary Bell Ward, of Quinton, Okla. and Jeanie Dillon and husband, Terry, of Seminole, Okla.; sister in-law, Mavis Risenhoover, of Quinton, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Pauline Risenhoover; brother, Jackie Risenhoover; and two brothers in-law, Russell Bray and Calvin Ward.

A funeral service was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Jesus Name Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Donnie Taylor officiating. Pallbearers were Tom Alverson, Dustin Bray, Yancy Peevy, Mark Tucker, Dewade Shatswell and Marshall Dillon. Honorary pallbearers were Clarence Calhoun, Cole Denny, Brandon Oxford, Lake Turrentine, Dakota Oxford, JW Pilgrim, Clay Basden and Kobi Bryant. Burial followed at Quinton Cemetery under the direction of Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.hbmfuneralhome.com.
