Newell Pixler

George Newell Pixler was born in Burr Oak, Kan. on Feb. 12, 1923, to George and Lola (Howe) Pixler. He passed away in Tulsa, on March 5, 2020, at the age of 97.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Spears and husband, Ted, of Whitefield; his son, Stuart Pixler and wife, Debbie, of Kinta; his grandchildren, Jeremy Howell of Kinta, Amy Flud and husband, J.R., of Edmond, Whitney Cardell and husband, Tyson, of Stigler, Hailey Pixler of Stigler, Aaron Spears and wife, Hannah, of Porum, Lucas Spears and wife, Taylor, of Whitefield; his sister-in-law, Wanda Pixler of Waco, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren; his nephew, Randy Mullins and wife, Marisa, of Hayworth and special friend, Betty Martin of Muskogee and numerous nieces and nephews.

Newell was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Pixler; one brother, Bill Pixler; one granddaughter, Shannon Payne; and his parents, George and Lola Pixler.

Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Whitefield Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Caldwell and the Rev. Nathaniel Craig officiating. 

Viewing was from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, March 9 and 10 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler.
