Morine Patton

Morine Patton of Stigler was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Keota to Carl and Zora Blevins Ward, and passed away Sept. 8, 2017, in Tulsa at the age of 86.
She is survived by three daughters, Delois Scroggins and husband, Ron, of Stigler, Jeannie Kimbro and husband, Russ, of Muskogee, Jane Doss of Keota; four sons, Carl Patton and wife, Sharon, of Broken Arrow, Bobby Patton and wife, Deanna, of Keota, Darrell Patton and wife, Melody, of Whitefield, Doyle Patton and wife, Chrystal, of Keota; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Morine was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Zora (Blevins) Ward; husband, Jim Bill Patton; one son, Rickie Patton; one son-in-law, Glyn Doss; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters and two brothers.
She loved to crappie fish, tend to her flowers and attend church at Star Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick McCleskey and the Rev. Larry Harris officiating. Burial followed at Stigler City Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory - Martin Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Harvey Bishop, Jeff Adams, Jason Smith, Terry Bloxham, Roger Bloxham and Doug Foster. Honorary pallbearers were her grandsons.
Viewing was Monday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler.
