Mickey H. Jones, 83, of Stigler, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Stigler,  to Everett & Leva (Boren) Jones. He grew up in the Eureka area south of Stigler. At the age of 10 he and his family moved to California and he graduated from Mt. Whitney High School and attended College of Sequoia’s. 

Mickey served his country for four years in the  Air Force in the Philippines. He moved back to Oklahoma in the late 1970s. He married Shirley Few and they made their home in Stigler for 36 years until her death in 2017.

Mickey loved fishing, going junking and enjoyed traveling. He loved his church, Crossroads Freewill Baptist and loved his church family. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren, great-grands, and a great-great-grand.

Mickey is survived by his six daughters and sons-in-laws, Carol and Nick Panissidi of Sparks, Nev., Laraine and Mark Gideon of Eufaula, Lisa and Kevin Martin of Lequire, Laura and Carl Patterson of Lequire, Peggy and Jimmy Seyler of Stigler, Kelliey and Earl Spears of Marietta; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dustin Nelson of Ardmore and Keith and Jane Few of Stigler; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and one on-the-way; one great-great-grandchild; his sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Boyd King of Beaver Mt.

Mickey is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Leva Jones; his wife, Shirley Jones and his sister, Deloris Easley.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Delmon Eakle officiating. Pallbearers included Caleb Martin, Tyson Martin, Josh Carey, Mason Edwards, Jamie Knoy and Allen Knoy. Honorary Pallbearers included Jacob Seyler, Tyler Labor, Logan Powell and  Mickey Dale Edwards.

Burial will follow in Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
