Michael Bailes

Michael Clark Bailes of Rocky Ridge was born Sunday, May 8, 1949, in Rocky Ridge to Wallace and Hazel (Bryce).

Bailes went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, in Rocky Ridge at the age of 69.

He is survived by one son, Jonathan Bailes and wife, Dana, of Rocky Ridge; one daughter, Stacy Bailes Seabolt and husband, Bill, of Rocky Ridge; four grandchildren, Joshua Lowe of Tulsa, Lensey Holden and husband, Rodney, of Kinta, and Lucas and Trea Seabolt of Rocky Ridge; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Jace Holden of Kinta; one sister, Nita Kaye Basden of Tulsa; five sisters-in-law, Noanna Anderson of Checotah, Judy Hale and husband, Whitey, of Whitefield, Janis Cantrell and husband, Wayne, of Stigler, Judy Osborn of Broken Arrow and Lillie McKay of Enterprise.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Bailes; his parents, Wallace and Hazel Bailes; granddaughter, Kensey Lowe; sister, Sue Bailes Southern and husband, Jerry; brothers-in-law, Calvin Anderson and Ronnie Osborn and in-laws, Earl and Nona Osborn.

He met the love of his life and best friend, Linda Osborn, in 1964. They were married June 2, 1969. They were blessed with 43 years of marriage and two wonderful children. He was a member of Warner First Baptist Church and was active in and served as Sunday School director and deacon for many years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, Daddy and Paw. He loved teaching, raising cattle, traveling to Colorado, working at the Stigler Sale Barn with his “sale barn” family, sitting on the porch of his cabin and spending quality time with his family. Mike left behind a legacy of a godly, loving father, friend, mentor and teacher.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at Warner First Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Dunn officiating. Burial followed at Whitefield Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Viewing was at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, with family visitation from 6 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers were David Wagnon, Billy Apple, John Labor, Connor Hurst, Joe Sosa and Jose Sosa, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Coy Few, Jim Eakle, Charles Don Robertson, C.B. Coplen II, Steve Allen, Bill Allen, Hershel Prentice, Chuck Roye, Glen Ogden, Don Carlton, Warner FBC Deacons and Deacon Candidates and Stigler Sale Barn Family.
