Melvin Eugene Moore

Melvin Eugene Moore, of Keota passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017, in Fort Smith at the age of 71.
He was born June 4, 1946, in Keota to Edis and Lovada (Cravens) Moore.
He is survived by his wife,  Debbie Moore of the home; one daughter, Amanda Spruce of McAlester; two sons, William Moore of Vian, and Jason Martin and wife, Valerie, of Keota; two sisters, Cathy Matlock and husband, Randy, of Keota, and Shirley Perry of Keota; three grandchildren, Destine Moore, Morgan Martin and Brooklyn Martin; and several nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruth Ann Ladd; and one brother, Junior Paul Moore.
Melvin was a contractor and framer, and he loved to fish and hunt.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with the Rev. Rick McElyea officiating and the Rev. Tommie Parker eulogist. Arrangements were under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory.
Viewing was at Mallory Chapel in Keota from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, Aug. 1.
