Melba Yvonne (Lewis) Simpson of Quinton was born June 4, 1934, in Wilburton to Eugene and Oleta (Blevins) Lewis and passed away Nov. 28, 2018, in Quinton at the age of 84.
She is survived by two daughters, Ginger Dill and husband, Benny, of McCurtain and Annette McLemore of Quinton; three sons, Terry Simpson of Quinton, Darrell Simpson of Quinton and Jim Simpson of Quinton; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Wilburn of McCurtain, Brandie Simpson of McAlester, Darin Blaylock of Quinton, Brock Davis of Quinton, Anthony Simpson of Quinton, Darrell Simpson, Jr. of Locust Grove and Jenna Simpson of Quinton; 15 great-grandchildren, Kaibrea Dill, Kaden Dill, Rick Dill, Harley Mills, Idaysia Mills, Dillian Dill, Kaden Simpson, Kavarrie Simpson, Maray Simpson, Jalen Holliway, Jazmine Holliway, Jacoby Holliway, Daley Blaylock, Noel Johnson and Briar Blaylock; two great-great-grandchildren, Jaden Dill and Jaxdon Dill and sister, Teata Montgomery and husband, Dean, of Quinton.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, T.L. Simpson; two daughers, Jeanette Blaylock and Charlotte Simpson; two grandsons, Bubba Dill and Terry Simpson, Jr.; one granddaughter, Vonetta McLemore and parents, Eugene and Oleta Lewis.
Yvonne loved shopping, doing yard work and spending time with family.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at McCurtain Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Palmer and the Rev. Gary Wilson officiating.
Burial followed at Miners Cemetery in McCurtain under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory in Stigler. Viewing was held on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, from 1 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Mallory-Martin Chapel in Quinton.
Pallbearers were Mark McCullar, Ed Purdom, Donnie Lowe, Donnie Baker, Travis Lowe, John Anderson and Lance McCullar.
Honorary pallbearers were Luther Lowe, Jerry Nixon, Burl Dill, Woody Sawyers and Tony Joe Madic.
