Mary Brown

Mary Juanita Brown, of Muskogee passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, in Muskogee, at the age of 69.  
She was born Feb. 24, 1947, in Porum to Carl Roy and Violet Imogene (Hughes) Byrd.
Juanita is survived by one daughter, Sherry Jenkins-Wimmer of Muskogee; one son, Carl Brown of Muskogee; one sister, Laura Byrd-Godfrey of Keefton; four brothers, AC Byrd of Lansing, Kan., Herbert Byrd and wife Joann of Porum, Jessie Byrd and wife Sharon of Stigler, and Tommy Byrd and wife Mary of Porum; four grandchildren, Tyler Jenkins, Bryan Jenkins, Zoey Jenkins and Chase Brown; one great grandchild, Keelee Jenkins; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Violet Byrd; and one sister-in-law, Joy Byrd.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 1 at Keefton Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler.  
Pallbearers will be Tommy Byrd, Carl Brown, *Howard Godfrey,* Jessie Byrd Jr., Tyler Jenkins and Dexter Godfrey.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Byrd and Jimmy Byrd.
Viewing was at Mallory Chapel in Porum on Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
