Martha Ford

Martha Jane Kersey Ford, 96, of Stigler passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, from complications of pneumonia.
She was born Sept. 25, 1921, in Greenwood, Ark. to George Washington (Dick) and Jim Pettus Kersey.
She grew up in Witcherville, Ark. and graduated from Mansfield High School. After moving to Stigler, she worked as a bookkeeper for Sturgeons Pontiac and then 28 years as secretary for First Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member.
She is survived by two sons, William Hollie Ford and wife, Linda, and John Louis Ford; one daughter, Martha Ann Brown and husband, Rob; granddaughters, Taylor Jane Brown, Morgan Evonne Brown, Andrea Wilson Ignacio, Carla Wilson Rodgers and Robyn Wilson Ballew; six great-granddaughters; one great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie Cleave Ford; her parents; sister, Jim Ann Gleason; and brothers, Dick and Billy Jack Kersey.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 18 at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with the Rev. Gene Murry officiating. Burial will follow at Lovelace Cemetery in Witcherville, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Shelton, John Parsons, Coy Mike Few, Larry Godfrey, Ron Davis and Jimmy Echelle.
Viewing will be Tuesday through Thursday 8 from  a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mallory Martin Funeral Home.
Services entrusted to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
